LIVING A LIBERATED LIFE

Living in fear often results in OUR need to be “in control” of everything in OUR lives.  Controlling the elements of our environment and the narrative is essential to “remaining safe.”  Learning to “fly under the radar” or “be quietly polite” or “minimally engaged” become common coping mechanisms.

Ironically, we are so focused on what “in control” looks like for us we fail to consider what “in control” really looks like for those stakeholders engaged in OUR lives.  We create walls of protection in our “aloneness” resulting in separation from the nurturing essence of love and validation; elements critical in moving beyond fear.

Finding OUR liberated lives begin when WE make the intentional decision to no longer allow fear to remain the guiding narrative in our “being and doing.”  Finding OUR “fierceness” begins when we own OUR “fearlessness.”

I see you; do you?

What are you going to do for you today?

The Next Great Adventure

The Next Great Adventure

WELCOME to the blog supporting my "My Next Great Adventure."  If you got HERE via my WEBSITE,  I appreciate you included this stop on your journey.

Effective January 1, 2015, I will official launch my private practice, Michael A. Freeman, MSW.   The practice represents a realization that has taken nearly a life-time to accomplish.  Although it is part-time at this point because of my other responsibilities at the University of Central Florida, this initiative marks the transition for me from my roles at UCF to "MY NEXT GREAT ADVENTURE."

In early August 2015, two key events will happen in my life.  The first will be my retirement from UCF, although I intend to remain a part of the faculty in the School of Social Work.  The second event will be my completion of the requirements as a registered clinical social worker intern, earning my designation as a "Licensed Clinical Social Worker," (LCSW).

My practice will combine nearly 40 years of human relations, business, organizational, and leadership development,  diversity and inclusion change management, life and executive coaching, and counseling.  These experiences will allow me to offer "Life and Executive Coaching, Organizational Development, Diversity/Inclusion and Change Management Consulting, and Counseling Services."

Coaching services will focus on assisting clients -
  • Manage transitional events across their life span such as dating, marriage/commitment, divorce, retirement, and end of life issues,
  • Develop and strengthen personal and professional relationships,
  • Develop social and professional skills,
  • Develop wellness, health, and self-care plans, and
  • Identify and correct impediments to professional and personal success.
Organizational Consulting services will focus on assisting clients -
  • Explore and develop business opportunities,
  • Identify effective change management strategies,
  • Develop effective diversity/inclusion efforts benefiting organizational stakeholders, and
  • Develop culturally relevant programming/services and culturally competent staff and leadership training.
Counseling services will focus on assisting clients with issues related to -

I hope you will follow my blog.  My goal is to provide information focusing on "LIVING PURPOSEFULLY AND POWERFULLY."
